The beautiful fall colors and blue skies of October have turned to grey in November and white snow lightly covers the ground. Yet all any of us who were there, in October, on those balmy afternoons, need do is look at the photos Ken and Cliff captured and placed on a DVD and we're back.
Back to the Climbing Wall, with Alison's big smile full of braces and confidence as she reached the top, or Gavin, on the basketball court with a half dozen bright orange dodgeballs overflowing his body as he challenges his cabin group to a game.
We go back to see Katelyn lose her front tooth and Nikki hugging the Panda Bear she wouldn't go near when she first arrived. There's Sawyer, wheeling himself around camp handing out cheeseballs from the huge barrel riding along on his lap.
And the candle lighting....everyone there knows how special that night was...
The music carries us through as the balloons are released and Amanda the Panda waves a final goodbye - it's all there - it's takes us back - the memories we made at the October session of Camp Amanda will carry us through the cold months ahead, the holidays, the long days at school and work.We all changed a little.
